Animated Temple
A French-language landing scene for a temple destination, composited from layered SVG artwork that drifts at different depths as you move through the page — atmosphere with no video file and no animation library.
The Challenge
The scene had to feel alive the moment it loads — drifting clouds, swaying lanterns, depth between the foreground trees and the pagoda — on a landing page that still has to arrive fast on a phone. A video background or a WebGL canvas would have bought the effect at a cost neither the budget nor the load time could carry.
Our Solution
We separated the artwork into individual SVG planes and animated them with compositor-friendly CSS transforms, so each layer moves at its own rate and the browser never repaints the scene. Vector artwork means the whole thing stays sharp at any viewport and weighs a fraction of an equivalent video.
